The other possibility is some mining veins seem to have dead spots to the navmesh. Meaning miners wont carry ore away or go eat.
If it happens again, try a second mienr on the same vein and see if that miner will haul it away (without an autohaul job.)
sometimes though the vein becomes full and he stops. then i go and empty the backpack but 1 ore in it and on it goes..
Hmm, perhaps it depends on what backback is used, do you use the autohaul order or just have the mine order for that worker?
can you please upload your save then.
To upload your crashdump.zip or Kenshi.zip ( Kenshi.log file ) or save folder,
You can use any of these free cloud storage services
dropbox[www.dropbox.com]
googledrive[www.google.com]
File Dropper[www.filedropper.com]
or the main forum[www.lofigames.com] ( 10 megs max ) to post your bug reports.
You can post the link on the steam forums or on the Lo-Fi Forums.
Any free cloud storage service should be acceptable long as it offers free access to the data for non registered users.
it already is if job setup.
but seams to be bugged with this case.
Thanks for everyones quick replies, they really did help <3
1) Haul to storage
2) Operate mine
3) Haul to storage
Now they've all worked perfectly for the last few hours of gameplay. Go figure.
That is weird.
You had a navmesh issue with the ore container. Especially since three mining veins all ignored the same ore container. You should have saved then loaded your game to fix the issue. Then if it still did not work move the ore storage container to another location.
Neither autohaul should be necessary. In fact the autohaul in job #3 is entirely irrelevant since it will never get performed.
Also if you pay attention because you placed autohaul in job #1 slot the miners are transporting each individual ore at a time as it is created by job #2 on the list. So basically your miners are working as a reduced production because they are spending more time running ore to the storage instead of waiting for 5 pieces.
These were three different veins with three different storage containers. It was over several save-load, save-import attempts.
I tried every variation on the jobs. Mine only. Mine, then haul. Haul, then mine. Same thing. Mine fills up and everything stops. Workers eventually wander off to get food. As soon as I made it haul-mine-haul, it started working independently.
I got so frustrated with it that hauling one ore at a time was a huge win. Just to get them to work so I didn't have to keep checking on them every few minutes to keep things going. Two of the containers are right next to the vein so it's not such a huge deal.
Could that be the problem? Too close?
I don't know. Maybe there's something else I'm doing wrong. I never had problems with it before, however. Don't know what has changed.
I'll look at it again when I get home.
Liek I said that 2nd autohaul job should be completely irrelevant. Simply because as long as that unit has space to mine it will never get done. The top autohaul shoudl be takign the ore away to make the second job infinite.
