get un-blacklisted from shop
is there a way to get around this, or once you're caught stealing is the shop forever off limits to you? if it were just one character, i'd suspect plastic surgery (that's why the thieves have one after all), but they blacklist the whole player faction

The whole faction is blacklisted forever. The only fix is to import your game. In short, don't steal. If you DO steal, don't get caught. But seriously, just don't steal.

you stole once so might aswell keep doing it since the shopkeeper refuses to do business with you now.
(honestly I'd rather return the stuff I stole from a shopkeeper and pay them to forgive me just so I can keep selling stuff to them if I ever need to do that.)

Nah just steal from everyone. Steal everything you need and you don't need money anyways:steammocking:

This would be a really neat feature. Maybe they give less since they don't trust you so much, but is better than hating on you forever...

Steal and sell back is not a good idea. Sell it to another faction is good, they don't care.
Once my char got caught stealing and had a 2500 bounty on his head for 99 hours. But it went away and I'm at 0 with this faction again. I only had to keep out of the city for a while.

The guy in the bar has hated me for 63 days so probably there’s no way to get rid of it

Restart the game and import your squad.

Keep buildings and gear, but relations with them should reset.

If it doesn't, import again and hit the RESET FACTION RELATIONS button.

Be warned, that will basically make it like nobody has ever met you in their entire life.

But you get the option to still keep your squad, buildings, and money, even if you're literally out of thin air as far as everyone else is concerned.

I've noticed that if a city changes hands due to the player removing a faction leader, that the shops seem to change hands too. (May change location within town, even.) If it's important enough to you to have this one particular shop back to do business with, that may be a way to do it without importing. Toppling a nation just to be able to patronize a shop might be overkill, but that's Kenshi.

He got caught, the shop has banned him. They will never do business again in that save.

The only way is to Import the game so the tag is removed.

What is incorrect about that statement? I don't use mods, so I speak for the base game.

Bandy was just making a joke about save scumming, which is to say reloading an earlier save, being a viable alternative.

you can also kill the shopkeeper, based on my experience they won't respawn and you can freely loot their store and it even restocks daily for some reason

Indeed it has. Sometimes I forget just how long it's been since release, coming up on 5 years now.

Anyway, hope you've been doing good too. :)
