Just having on guy traveling alone he got extorted 5k cats, Slave Hunters try to enlave me near a slaver settlement which came to attack me while I was defending myself. Outlaw Farmers trying to steal food. I really want them all dead for that.
I just don't know you and I want to put you in jail.
I mean, you can join the Shinobi Thieves and get discounts on good items now and then, wandering Shinobi Assassins will come to your aid in a fight if they are nearby (those guys are tough) but no real faction stuff.
Same with the guys up North near the cannibals. They hate the Holy Nation and when you "join" them your relations plummet like a stone with the HN, but other than the same benefits as you get with the Shinobi Thieves, it's not really an implemented feature.
It would be so much fun roleplaying as one of them.
There are a couple methods to join them:
1. You must be either wounded, starving, or solo to join them. This route may not be guaranteed though, so they may still refuse you.
2. Already be enemy of the United Cities, they'll join you as an ally the moment you talk to him.
3. Be an Anti-Slaver, there will be some dialog about forming an alliance between the two sides. May or may not succeed depending on your choices.
