Joining the Outlaw Farmers
Are they a faction you can join?

Found their fort and despite skirmishes with their wandering patrols leaving me at -13 rep they were non-aggressive.

Went inside and talked to their unique NPC leader, in dialogue you've got the option of joining them / Attacking him for his bounty / Leaving.
Tried the join dialogue and he seemed to actually be considering but turned me down- "not looking desperate enough, just another chubby towner".

Is there actual pre-reqs you can fufill to ally with this faction like you can others? Like if I was -100 with the UC maybe. (Asking because it might be helpful in the future to have more allies)

Recently exploring the great desert myself. I gotta say the empire are bigger ****s than the holy nation. Holy Nation is racist and sexist. But the empire is just plain oppressive no matter what race. Even the outlaw farmers and slavers as well will steal and enlave you if they get the chance. I literally want to burn their empire down.

Just having on guy traveling alone he got extorted 5k cats, Slave Hunters try to enlave me near a slaver settlement which came to attack me while I was defending myself. Outlaw Farmers trying to steal food. I really want them all dead for that.

Just thought of something ironic. Taking the empire and selling them to the slavers. Like forcing a snake to swallow its tail. Damn that sounds like some good irony there.

I think the dev is working on the Diplomacy part of the game in the next big update. As it stands now, joining a faction is not really an option that brings any real meat to the game.

I mean, you can join the Shinobi Thieves and get discounts on good items now and then, wandering Shinobi Assassins will come to your aid in a fight if they are nearby (those guys are tough) but no real faction stuff.

Same with the guys up North near the cannibals. They hate the Holy Nation and when you "join" them your relations plummet like a stone with the HN, but other than the same benefits as you get with the Shinobi Thieves, it's not really an implemented feature.

I hope they add something like that for Cannibal Hunters, i found their base and i like it a lot.

It would be so much fun roleplaying as one of them.

Yes, you can join the Outlaw Farmers, but there are restrictions on who can and cannot join.

There are a couple methods to join them:
1. You must be either wounded, starving, or solo to join them. This route may not be guaranteed though, so they may still refuse you.
2. Already be enemy of the United Cities, they'll join you as an ally the moment you talk to him.
3. Be an Anti-Slaver, there will be some dialog about forming an alliance between the two sides. May or may not succeed depending on your choices.

Joining the Outlaw farmers makes for an interesting Akame ga kill style playthrough without the powers and stuff, trying to destroy the empire from the inside and such, with a limited number of members and considering how brutal kenshi can be it would be quite the experience lol.
