Can you take over towns?

I spawned in the hub and just wondering if there is away i can take over and run the whole town? since the majority of the buildings have been destroyed and available to be bought, do you have to buy them all or is it a specific building you need to buy?

What I mean by running the town is being able to build on the property and surrounding area. Since at the moment I can't build in the area unless it is in the building I bought.

Any help and advice will be great! :)

No you cannot "run" the town in the sense that you become sole owner of it and ostensibly manage its resources, while being able to build in the designated area. You can fully depopulate towns, if im not mistaken, by killing everyone and if you so desire you can hang out in the buildings that are left over or buy those you wish to officially own.

Ah okay thank you. Pretty disappointed since it would be a fun thing to do. Never know, they might add it in the future. :)

They probably won't add a feature where we can take over towns since there's plenty of complicatiosn that come with that, such as what would occur when you import a game and "reset it" to name but one factor. But they'll certainly keep working on enemy raids/assaults taking over your stuff and you needing to force them out.

If you kill everyone the faction in question will usually refuse to sell their buildings to you, guess why?

It did not. And was dropped completely as a possible feature.
