2. As far as I'm aware hauling from container to container is not possible.
Character 2 is ( HaulToStorage2 > Cookstove )
It should work for hauling on both character 1 and 2. You might get stuck in a storage loop with character 2 if the distance to the stove is further than a few steps. The characters will check their priority order before doing anything.
Otherwise you should have Character 1 (Farm > HaulToStorage2 ) as when the farm fills up they will haul to any nearby storage automatically so it can continue to be harvested. When the farming is done they will gather items up from nearby storages and haul to where you designate.
I used it at the end of a farming queue to bring the materials into the cooking buildings, instead fo the cook running to the feilds to grba the left overs in the farms. Since farmers will not empty a farm until it hits 20 units.
It also can be used to dump those stray barrels of water farmers tend to accumilate for some reason. Long as you place it after the farming job. So basically they dump any leftover water before doing some other job betwene farming.
