Mods not showing up (Solution)
Hey if your subscribed mods aren’t showing up in the launcher and verifying your game files isn’t helping, do this:

In Steam click View-Settings-Downloads and then change your Download Region. Pick something new but close to you. You’ll have to restart Steam, but then voila, workshop downloads should start happening.

I just had this issue and when I switched my download region I got workshop downloads happening not just for Kenshi, but about half a dozen of my other games as well.

*Credit goes to the Cities: Skylines Reddit community for this one.

Yeah that didn't work for me either. Only changing the d/l region worked.

I had this happen to me today. Just so happens that it no longer is using the /mods folder and subscribed are somewhere else. Once you click Play and the launcher opens you have to re-enable them all.

This fixed my issue today. I cleared the downloading cache because Steam kept trying to install a game I didn't want to install. If the cache gets flushed you get this problem. Do as he says it works 100%. Still have to modify your list of mods. I wish you can save templates of mod lists for Kenshi. I have over 60 enabled and some I turn off for certain playthroughs (unblanced or buggy)

This still works in 2023 haha
Thank you!
Have you also tried putting the mods in your game directories mod folder instead of just subbing to them?

How do you do that?
Do you just copy paste?
copy paste.
then you need to rename each folder to the mod name.

As in, just copy the modd from steamapps>workshop>content>233860> (mods but numbered file names)
yes.
then go into the mod folder itself, and copy the MOD file name, then rename the folder to that.
then Kenshi will see the folder and mod.
example.
