Learn to read, this is on a battlefield and defeated enemies. I don't care what a playing dead guy sees.
That's an exploitative mechanics and why do I need to circumvent a terrible poorly considered game mechanic.
My point in case it's unclear below.
Clicks on the the Rebel Swordsman's Heart plate 15 times to loot it because he's catching me while playing dead...
He's either playing dead and catching me, he should be doing only 1. Playing dead should prevent enemies from catching thieves.
Yeah, but you keep getting caught stealing. That's the problem.
You just need to not get caught stealing. Then you won't get caught stealing.
Then there won't be any problem. Ya dig?
Also, if he's just playing dead you could just pick up the body and loot 'em that way. They don't whine when they're getting a piggyback ride. Then just drop 'em when you've claimed their items.
Okay, you clearly don't get my point. I know the workarounds. The game shouldn't require workarounds because the mechanics are dumb.
Should you be able to play dead and prevent enemies from stealing your gear at the same time? No, because that's dumb.
They need to
a) Play dead
or
b) Get up and try and stop me from stealing their gear
The player doesn't get to do both and it's illogical.
It's a oversight that requires fixing.
How is a guy playing dead catching and stopping you looting him!?
Everyone on the battlefield is down, everyone is dying or playing dead and GOT CAUGHT STEALING.
Someone playing dead isn't playing dead if they catch and prevent you taking their gear. It is broken and that's totally illogical, your counter argument is nonsense. Just because it's always worked like that doesn't mean it's not broken and stupid.
Don't defend stupid mechanics.
If he caught me stopping my looting he's no longer playing dead. Or does he grab my arm and go back to faking being dead like you seem to think?
You literally can't finish them off till they stop playing dead or bleed out. This is a common problem and it's how people level up thievery which is why so many defend the stupid mechanic while pretending it makes sense.
This exactly. Thank you.
Whether its really a fully sensible or broken mechanic though, unless it gets deemed a bug (which I sincerely doubt) its not going to get fixed, the studio is already working on their next game and is only bugfixing kenshi at this point. All in all, someone playing dead and then getting pissed when you try to loot them or their buddies isn't the most ludicrous of things really, doubt they'd be all too happy to feel their weapons/armor/valuables being lifted from their body, or seeing it happen to someone opposite of them.
They don't stop playing dead, ffs. Can anyone read. They just magically catch you which stops you from taking it. Some magical force slaps your hand away and they keep playing dead giggling at you I'd assume.
Workarounds... things that shouldn't be needed in a finished game. I'm not dancing around the is it a bug or not talk.
When all enemies are downed / dead / incapacitated or playing dead the victor should take whatever he wants. If someone isn't dead and "catches" me stealing he should get up and fight. Not drop down and "play dead" again.
Unfortunatly you cannot "finish off" playing dead characters in an unmodded game.
I believe the mod is called " execute" or "finish them off" in the workshop.
Also Locklave, try and not go off the handel. this is a video game. you will have lot more success if you come at this calmly.
and accept that people will not always see it your way.
take the feedback for what it is, feedback
and i expect everyone else to follow suite.
