Nah. Turned out High Inquisitor Valtena escaped prison. He's dead now and Okran's Shield is now property of the UC.
If you capture/kill certain faction leaders while allied to other factions those factions could take over that territory. At least that's how I believe it works. So for example, I have 100 relations with UC so when I took out the high inquisitor of Okran's Shield, I ended up causing the UC to conquer it. I believe if I was allied to the shek instead they would have taken the outpost.
and only if they are scripted to with certain events trigger.
I have a clan of 11 warriors and 8 villagers, and am intending to rally the support of a UC patrol if possible to take on the shield... Which might not be too difficult, because robot attacks in the past crippled and maimed quite a few of the guards, meaning at least 1/4 of the checkpoint is fighting with a heavy disadvantage (if they aren't still in comas, that is).
Course, I need to grind more first and get some better armor for my crew.
Buy lots and lots of mercenaries to fight with you.
Will this be in Kenshi 2?
I have an alliance with the UC, I got my characters up to 40-70 stats and managed to get a group of Samurai to follow me, hired a few mercenaries and went to battle. During the chaos I had my elite group storm the barracks and take out High Inquisitor Valtena and abducted him and sold him for his bounty. After some time the city didn't flip so I raided it again thinking I needed to bring down the population but found him still in his shackles with no armor/weapons so I took him out again. Ran out with my raid and took him to the middle of the desert, let him get up, beat him down and waited for him to actually die this time. City flipped to United Cities about three days later.
