How to reset the position of NPCs?
Something strange happened:
A Holy Nation squad tried to attack my town, but they appeared on the top of a mountain near my town. There are no roads on the mountain that can get down, so they are stuck there.
I want to know, is there any way to reset the location of these NPCs? Just like resetting my own squad's position.

I tried the "Reset Squad's Position" feature, but only my own squad changed position. This enemy squad is still stuck on the mountain.
I know that "Import Game" can solve this problem, but since I still have captives in my town, I really don't want to lose them (captives disappear after importing the game)...

So is there any good idea? Thanks in advance!

What I'd try doing is taking all your characters and leaving the area. This will force the game to use a more simplistic pathing system for them that will likely ignore the obstacle.

Make sure you take all your captive too though, otherwise they'll likely be gone when you return.

I am not too sure about this, but there have been occasions when I have saved and reloaded and NPCs have reset position, disappeared completely or been replaced by a different faction.

Sometimes pathways for raids get confused until you open the gate then they will continue on approaching. When they arrive, you can close the gate. Pathway confusions could be related to how the walls and gates are set up, especially if you have 2 gates or wall is too closely in front of the gate.

I tried your suggestion: Take everyone to a very far distance from my town and watch the enemy team's walking route. Unfortunately, while other enemy squads, as you said, attacked my town directly with a very simple route, that trapped squad is still stuck in the mountains.

However, very lucky and accidentally, I found a solution:
This stuck squad comes from a mod (Chaos Raid) I installed, which will launch a large number of enemy squads to attack the town. I deselected this mod and entered the game again, and the stuck enemy squad just disappeared.
Unfortunately, these enemies failed to reach my town, but at least I don't have to import the game :)
My long-term plan is to change my town to a large plain, I hope that no one will be stuck in the mountains again. LOL

Still thanks for your advice!

Unfortunately, I only have 1 gate, and this gate is always open. Anyway, I have solved this problem, thank you for your attention.:)

I S/L it for many times, and it doesn't work.:(
However, I have solved this problem by resetting a mod, thank you for your attention.:)
