I haven't bothered with turrets or walls for a long time so don't know if it still works that way though.
Agreed.
How can you not bother with turrets or walls?
He has random attacks turned off and raids turned down to 0.25?
Have a strong enough party where they not needed.
But surely this is just needless mither and grief? I get that the game only rewards failure, but the idea of sanctuary needs to represent something, otherwise - what's the point at all?
and others that's how they depend on surviving.
and i hate to say it, but walls have been a pain in the backside for the Dev ever since he first added them, removed them from the game, then re added them some time later.
turrets you can just stick on the ground.
Despite the developmental problems with walls, conceptually, they are integral to the game.
Imagine it without them now. It would be madness - complete madness. And I'm sure the dev knows that too.
I'm only guessing here, but as it stands, Kenshi is built with walls in mind - working or no.
I've played the game, and I do know - I haven't just bought it. Walls, and their existence, seem to be part of the balance of the game. Who in the universe, in their right mind, has the patience and time, to do the awful dance of attrition that it would be without them? Remember the early game. It's hard enough with walls, let alone without.
Forgive me, it's Friday, and I'm drunk.
No, I have everything turned up except hunger which I leave as default.
Raids are at maximum.
HN generally turn up with something like 20+ Inquisitors but I haven't bothered counting for a long time.
Fighting is the best way to increase stats and I like lots of action happening. That doesn't happen with walls or turrets.
When I got the game I don't remember being able to build anything at all, then we got buildings, exciting times :)
Yeah, I'm aware that Kenshi didn't begin with walls included. When I said 'Kenshi is built with walls in mind', I was careful to use the present tense, not the past.
Only after we get a fix for turret operators going back to the same turret you told them to operate. Snack? Yeah, I'll just cover the opposite direction now.
