Kenshi
United heroes league?
So these dudes just entered a bar screaming about some kinda of grudge, then bursted of to the city gates. I followed them out of curiosity.

They just stood outside city gates and started laughing like frat boys. So I just took a quickie peaksy at my phone and when I looked back they were taking a beating from my party. I now have -24 relations with them. Should I be worried? What is their background story?

The main gist is they're basically a bunch of racist human-supremacy thugs. They like to attack members of other races just for existing. Essentially a non-religious Holy Nation.

Though their lore does go a bit deeper, if you want some minor spoilers.
They're actually backed by the Trader's Guild, acting as their thugs for hire. Attacking those who don't pay membership fees, or otherwise roughing up people that need it.

As for should you be worried? If you trounced their group as easily as it sounds, I'd say there is no major issue. They're mostly meant as an early game threat, for players who can't really fight yet.

Huh, I knew about the racial supremacy thing but did not know about the spoilers thing, I suppose it explains why nobody has a problem with them.
I see. I'll beat em harder and leave them naked next time.

Sometimes I'm kinda pitful in this game. I remember once beating a hive exile to a pulp for no reason, than healing him and putting it on a bed. Left him to his luck lol. Got sentimental.

Should've kept him in a cage for training.

Try knocking out skimmers and then sneak putting them into bandit outpost beds to see some fun carnage.

They were fighting with many other factions outside of town one day like a free-for-all battle, I just watched because I didn't know what happened. Heroes, Slavers, slave hunters, traders guild, uc gate guards, nomads, they attacked each other. I hope to see this in Kenshi 2 because I enjoyed the chaos. Let them fight meme.

Yeah. Things happen without your interference. You can stay still and a lot of mess will develop just in front of you. Pretty cool

If you attack UHL in one of UC cities, regardless if you're hostile with UC or not, UC samauri still will attack UHL and put them in jail or slavers will take them. You could wipe out Fort Mirage, capture their leader to sell at slave shop and use their base for storage, rest, or training if you like.

the usual interactions player will have with the UHL is them following your character around town shouting racial slurs until you leave... then attacking you once the guards are out of sight, they deserve everything they get.

I recently actually got them messed up by my city guards and sold them and their gear into slavery.

To think I did an civil service.
