Should be a Tech 3 research in order to build them yourself.

I personally haven't seen any out in the world yet though. Looks like there are some found in small workshops in cities that skeletons can use. Just came across one.

Gating a mandatory item for one specific race's long term health behind a tier 3 upgrade seems a little.. Yea. Feels like it should be a tier 1 or one of those very common blueprint you can get early.

If I remember right repair kits are gated behind that same tech 3 gate.

Thanks i need to get back to my base and check. Yes repair kits are lvl 3 but this is one of several challenges to doing an all skelly run.

Yeah but you can just buy and loot those, so not as big of a deal.

Found a repair bed in a new little shack at the Waystation southeast of The Hub. The one just north of the Swamp.

Skeletons have pro and cons. More marked than for the other races. They don't need food, they can't be eaten (IE safe from animals and cannibals), and will very rarely "bleed" out. Which means having a skeleton die is less likely than for a fleshy. On the other hand, they need more expensive healing kit, and this bed.

It's still worth noting that, ATM, you can use beds to heal them faster (at least camping beds). They, however, seems to effectively take some "permanent" damage, which I supposed the skeleton bed removes. It is, however, very slow. I crossed the new area from the bottom SW (of the new "square") to the SE, to the extreme of the peninsula area, at the edge of the map. Had some nasty fights, especially for a new recruit (skeleton unique) with pretty much no stats, and I lost only 1-2 durability on them.

They can also be found in some bar, where it makes sense to have them :)

I was pointing out it made sense for them to be behind that same tech gate.

I wish they would do something similar to living races, where some of the damage you need to go to a town doctor or proper medical equipment at your base to fix.

I'm wondering if that's mod-able?

Well one of the planned features is limb damage, even to the point of amputation and you will need to add robotic limbs.

It's a feature that add to be dropped, if I'm nto mistaken. It will not be added for the release. Maybe later though.

That's a luxury feature, which means that functionally speaking it is no longer planned.

All that means is if they cant add it in before the 1.0 release its going to be free "dlc"

If it gets added at all. What it technically means is that it's not going to make release, nothing more. Yes it'll be a free feature if it comes out after launch, but there's no guarantee that will actually happen.
