Do that and over time you will have 4 friendly factions, for me this is close to an exploit since the slaves system is unfinished,
Today, as soon as you are buying slaves they are running away, (some of them will still join your group) another good way to enlist warriors with average skills 20 to 35.
Sometimes you have to join them, the thieves will only ask you to pay 10k cats.
Another group will become your friend but you will be KOS by the holy nation etc..
Healing fallen characters can increase your faction ,like the holy preacher +5 !!
I had a +2 with Mongrel for healing one of them?
healing must be on a timer so if you heal one or 1000 this is the sme (i am not sure at all)
For the United Cities you can improve your relations speaking with the guard near tengu and paying like 100k cats.
For the Hounds there is like a quest you can take speaking with their boss.
For the trader's guild It's the same as United Cities but you have to do it at Trader's Edge with their emperor.
For the holy nation you can talk to moll at the flotsam village and choose to who you want to ally taking a +75 with one and a -75 with the others.
For the Holy Nation and Shek you can to bring the BugMaster I think. I just tried with the shek, I arrived at 140 but It seems i can't improve my relationship with Holy nation because I'm allied with them.
Improving with United Cities speaking at tengu should improve with Slave traders if I remember it well but AntiSlavers will become hostile towards you.
These are the fastest way, improving at least towards 60 or so in no time.
Healing... well, it will take some time
Essentially, everything involving officially allying oneself to a faction will p*** off their enemies.
If I'm not mistaken, right now :
Shek <->HN
UC<->HN
Flotsam<->HN
Anti slavers (not yet implemented)<->UC, Trader's Guild
Shek should be enemies to UC, but in the game siding with the Shek didn't made me lose rep with UC. Not sure about the opposite. I don't know about the hound.
Though the Shek will not ally with you if you are allies of the UC or TG. They may not be enemies, but the Shek still don't like them.
However you need to be careful on who you are turning in.
