They are red when they consider you an enemy. They should attack you on sight with enough negative reputation, soldiers at least.
Edit: Just saw that it's only one Holy Farm and one Holy Mine that's red, I've never had that happen to me. Usually every settlement and town of Holy Nation turns red, not just one or two.
And does it regenerate recruitable NPCs out of the entie pool of potential recruits or does it just spawn the same ones it did originally?
I'm unsure about this.
second one. it tends to regenerate the same ones.
Oh but they do attack you. They just wait until you are inside and then spring the trap.
But actually, they just didnt recognize you. But they will, after so many dice rolls. The longer you hang around, the greater the chance someone pegs you.
That kind of sucks, will the map being expanded/altered in future updates cause some variation in that?
There's always mods to fall back on too I guess.
