Some shops I noticed were restocked by 2200 and some (maybe I missed it) seems a bit later than 0000, but never the less, thanks again for being awesome Shidan.
(I broke into a shop after buying everything, right after they closed, around 2200 or so, and they already had new inventory. Maybe it was a 1 time thing or maybe they do vary a little, but I'm fairly sure it wasn't 0000 on the nose)
On this note, does Armor King restock his inventory? I waited around a bit and he didn't seem to.
Armour King should restock, however his timer is a bit longer. He's marked as a 48 hour refresh time. I lived right next to him for a while on my main, and I would make regular visits to see what he had. So he definitely used to, though you never know when a bug might hit...
Is that timer static? Or does it reset from the time we visit? Since Armor King and some of the other shops never close, I wonder how it works for them. And thanks again for the great info. Love you guys for being so awesome.
This also raises the question and makes me wonder.....
If you're IN the shop can the the Items restock? Or will they wait until the NEXT day and then reset?
I am fairly sure they don't reset in unlocked containers if you're in the store itself, so now I wonder if they do, or if not, how far away we have to be before they do?
I'll try testing this and get an answer for you unless you already know.
And I don't think it changes based on the hours they are open. I have been in a town with a store that never closes, and shopped both before and after the restock mere hours apart.
Not sure about the being inside the shop... That's a good question... I know some things can cause issues due to being in the shop, such as importing while inside will fail to spawn the inventory of the shop in the new world.
I'd be interested to hear what you find out. :)
Ok, at one of the bars in Worlds End, they DEFINATELY respawned before 0000 because I talked with them at about 2355 and they had new stuff. I'll keep looking. One of my IRL friends wants to play War Game, Red Dragon, so I'll be doing that for a while, then I'll resume Kenshi and get on it.
I can also confirm that the Armor King does restock every 48 hours.
I've seen the Bars NOT respawn inventory or get new money after your first visit though. Particularly noticed this at World's End. (Closest City to my base, but still one heck of a trip.) And it doesn't matter how many days you're gone, they still only have a very low number of Credits. I've seen 4 GP be kept for 50 days, though the inventory did partially respawn after an unknown number of days. That's annoying.
The new versions seem very buggy. I'm not sure why, but I'm encountering a lot of issues.
Hatsune had it take like 3-4 days in her mod. That was kind of excruiating with a live in town playstyle. Her mod is also included in the CABS mod.
Personally, I wish they had more selection on the items carried.
That can be easily modded, the problem is you will run into some mod conflicts if not done right.
Like for instance when I was testing Hatsune Neko's economy mod we ran into a conflict with Shidan's Tweaks and Fixes because he edit the merchant as well. Although Shidan did fix the conflict on his end.
The new prices are a lot better. I think this is similar to the level they used to be in the .93 early series, and it does make me want to buy some gear I don't have, but the shops have a brutally small (or useless) inventory. (Le sigh) I'd rather not resort to mods though. So I'll give advice and feedback to the Dev based on their base game.
