Then you can sell Leviathan armour dlc of course
As the proud owner of a pet leviathan (acquired without mods mind you), they're not really that great. Super slow, can't fit in half the places you want to go, and even a moderately skilled party can usually take them down.
Their only upside is the huge HP. Their damage is pretty good, but they're pretty limited when trying to attack people. So they generally only win a fight if there are only a few enemies, or they are lower skilled ones.
What exactly do you mean by "lower skilled"? Like hungry bandits skill or dust boss skill?
Pretty much, at least at first. They can handle a little higher skilled opponents than that, but I had to save my leviathan from groups of bandits or other wandering squads on a regular basis early on. Their only redeeming quality at the start is their HP, but skills wise they only have about 40ish stats, and can't block, so they take tons of damage easily against groups.
But, they scale like crazy at higher levels (something I didn't know back when I wrote that original post, since mine was still low level). A close to max level elder leviathan can easily beat literally everything else in the game, at the same time.
