weapon and armor grade

what is the highest they can go to after being trained in the skill to 100? is it just edge 3 and specialist?

I believe if you get a critical success you can get Edge 2 and masterwork.

I thought the highest craftable grade was Edge 2? And even then, the best weapons are found in armory ruins. Not sure about armor grade, though.

ive got a character whos skill says he can do edge type 3 hes 86 skill level is there another grade after?

I think you can research Edgewalkers and this unlocks Edge 1 weaponary. There is currently no further research for weapons so the best you can get is Edge 2 when you get a crictical success. Same sort of thing for armour, research up to specialist and then masterwork on a crit.

Just looked in the FCS, Edgewalker research seems to only allow weapon level Edge 1.

Edge 1 and Specialist are the highest you can craft normally. Edge 2 and Masterwork with a critical success.

Masterwork is as good as armor gets, but weapons have two grades above Edge 2. Edge 3 and Meitou.

Neither are craftable currently, but Edge 3 can be found as Gear Artifacts in ruins and such. Meitou is completely unavailable at the moment.
