Worms Clan Wars: Now Available on Linux!

Good news map-chaps,

The spiffing folks at the Team17 development thinga-bob have conjured a Linux version of Worms Clan Wars! This means that you’ll be able to go and kick the Johnsons out of that dastardly Crowley Mesmer to save all Wormkind on your Linux machine. Huzzah!

To get started, all you’ll need to do is head to the Worms Clan Wars Store Page and throw things at the “buy” button. Just be sure to read the Minimum System Requirements and ensure that your machine meets them before you do. If you need any help, waddle over to our Support forum where Ben awaits with his trusty blowtorch.

Plus, if you already own Worms Clan Wars on any platform, you can download it to all supported platforms (PC, Mac, Linux) at no extra cost. EVEN BETTER - Worms Clan Wars Linux is cross-play, meaning that you can play multiplayer with Worms fans on Mac and PC too.

You should really change the platforms on this press release to "WIndows, Mac and Linux" especially considering this is a LINUX-SPECIFIC press release on STEAM - which now also correctly refers to Windows as Windows rather than PC.

Wow. Unexpected :)) Instabuy. It's working fine for me. Not played much, only tutorial but performance is good. I have laptop with Intel HD4000 + Radeon HD8750M 2Gb, Ubuntu 14.10 with 3.18 kernel and latest mesa-git from oibaf ppa.

If so, can the timer be switched off completely?

But there is no option for a controller and my XBOX 360 controller does not work. Do you plan to implement controller support on the Linux version?

In Worms Armageddon the controller works fine.

I just wante dto ask about it. And you answered my question. WTF team17 ? Same sh*t again. Make it cross-play not just a linux version. Just rewrite a net-code - its not a big deal imho.

Totally unable to read properly lol. Truth is I was going off what it says on the store page: cross platform support is not listed. Meanwhile "Full controller support" is listed, but it not if you have one of the most popular controllers: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233840/discussions/1/610573751160855438/

I have this issue as well. Nothing either in the settings to tweak or swap to controller use (I know I had to do this on Gunslugs II )
