About training psionics
Is the chance for a skillup the same for any ol' skill or is there an easier way to train some of them?

Chance of skillup seems to go up the higher it already is, and the auto level cap for them is 100 instead of 45. It might actually be based on which ability in the tree you are using, but either way it just means that the more points you have, the easier it is to get more.

So investing points in psi abilities with the Seeker is probably a waste since they start with high values already and will max out through training. Unless you are deadset on getting Manifestation.

Nah, I want the achievement for getting all the psionics - my class options are Scout, Psion or Seeker due to the combination of skill point gain or starting points.

The Scout has the most skill points, but lowest starting point. The Seeker has the highest starting point, but only has 5 points in Warmind - the tree that needs 99 points.

You can abuse the stasis chamber to get that achievement easily.

not rly.
you can only lvl up each skill as often as your floor is. for example you could lvl up a skill 20 times if you start at floor 20. the max would be 60 skillpoints (which is more than just unlikely unless you cheat).
lvling up psionics got alot harder quite some time ago, so dont rely on auto lvl ups. if you want all psionics, the safest bet would be the liir and getting dublication and duping liir edupets till you finally get the skills you need.

Blue room with a lot xp to withdraw, i guess )

you could push your level over 1000 but can only lvl up one skill up to 20 times on blue room floor 20
(and practicly wont ever get any following lvl up anymore)

Pssh, then start with enough experience to get up to level 20. That's 20-60 skill points in one skill all at once, averaging at around 40.

Got it, War Mind and Mechansense were indeed the hardest part, but it does speed up once you get their second psionics.

Post-mortem: Got grabbed by Zuul bears and smilodons, Liir kept me pained, then my pistol and shotgun broke leaving only the sniper - which could hit due to high skill, but only had 3 rounds .

Most damaging enemies:
Jaegger: 1000 damage (plus another 800 from Cyberdog)
Voracious Zuul Pup: 750 ish
Light Sec Mk3: 900
Light Surgeon: 400 (somehow?)
Heavy Sec Mk1: 1800 damage~!

Hiver Commander: Also 1800... weird, when I get stomped by Heavy Sec I grief, but I didn't notice Hiver Commanders were destroying me.

Corrupted Liir: 1700 (most of that from the final last stand where I died)

...

Most rewarding enemies, oddly, Beast Virus and Stone Mole and Giganthopithecus. Maintenance Master was also quite the cash cow. Got 3000 from crappy little Proteans, but only because there were so many, only took 24 damage from them... I didn't want to be touched by acid.

527 kills with TK Fist (for exactly 77777 damage, yeah!)

I briefly enjoyed a laser sword... which is EXACTLY AS FUN AS IT SOUNDS, don't use it on Proteans, you'll break it in a single slash.

Not sure why I found so many Flechette rounds (530) when I was actively discarding them. 1208 Pistol rounds, but I did use a Machine Pistol at the start of the game. The ACTUAL ammo I was actively keeping was Shotgun and High Calibre ONLY - so that I kept getting weird ammo was weird.

RIP Liir: Floor 38 Easy, Level 30, 115190 points

If you made it to floor 38 with the Liir on easy you probably decrypted the first 50 messages already. Thus you need to play on a harder difficulty to get any more recipes.

Ya, I normally play on harder difficulties, I just wanted to get this particular acheivement - I had to skip pretty much all weapon skills until about floor 30.

The Seeker honestly doesn't need weapon skills too much, especially since they start with high weapon skills, even Heavy Weapons which they generally can't even use. You can get by with just a few points in Spear every now and then, and you can honestly just toss the Ayma out if you get a shotgun.

Heck, the Seeker doesn't even really need weapon drops at all until level 25ish where you need an energy weapon for specters. I made it to the last room on floor 40 with just the starting darter and ayma and a laser rifle. I also built a hand stunner, but it broke. My moisture suit broke on floor 26 so I had to use the Liir Health Medalion to not die. Unfortunately, without armor, that last floor really makes you regret picking a character who only gets about 12 health per level.

what helped the most was all the mod tanks I found, I think I quaffed enough psionic mutation to bring even necromastery to 20
