The Pit v1.6.0 (AKA Osmium Edition)
If you've recently fired up The Pit, you'll have noticed a small update and a new Main Menu screen... [does best theatrical arm gesture]

...The Osmium Edition!

And immediately you ask, "The what edition?"

The Osmium Edition is our way of closing this chapter of The Pit series. A fancy name for a fancy Roguelike that we've enjoyed sharing with you these past four, nearly five, years (I know, right?)

It's not just a name though. We added;

- 9 new monsters
- 1 new weapon
- 1 new achievement
- 2 new items
- 1 new recipe

...and we fixed that annoying bug where the Time Hole moves the player, but does not actually display new level. Also, the Healer DLC is now available for Mac/Linux users!

If you have The Pit Gold, you'll get the new content. We renamed it The Osmium Edition a) so you'll know you get the new stuff and b) while we have left the DLCs on sale separately, eventually we're going to bundle it all together at a final, single, bundle price. On that day, The Osmium Edition will be everything we've released for The Pit and the entry point for all new players.

As this chapter closes, we've begun new chapters in The Pit series, including The Pit Boardgame - all the dying of the digital original, no electricity required! If you want to know more, be sure to check out The Pit series website and newsletter[sots-thepit.com].

Now. Go try the new content!

Sad that there will be no more updates, DLCs, additions and more to this game. I do request more for this game because this game is playable even on older notebooks and laptops. I'm sure that SotS: The Pit 2 will requiring more powerful computers.

Or what's about integrating the Steam Workshop into it that players can create more content for this game?

Healer DLC still not working on Linux.

Thanks for that unexpected update!
This is one of my favorite games of all time.

Please nerf the Eggnod recipe if you ever do another patch. It is way way too powerful.
The most op food recipe in the game by far.
Nerf heavily or remove is my suggestion.
And since the Healer DLC which added more food options (including the honestly a bit op Ultra Med-bay) there is an even stronger case to remove the Eggnod.
Besides those things it is almost a perfect game imho with good balance (it is always tricky with such a heavy RNG factor ofc but that is part of the game/fun).
If I knew another update was coming I would have tried to lobby for this earlier.

Anyways, thanks for a excellent game and great DLC:s/additions.

Please add Full Screen and possibility to change window size in Linux (like under Windows)!!!!!!!! That would be greatly appreciated and was promised a long time ago ....

I will ask this here as well, as I don't know where the dev / people see this better:

So do I understand correctly:
If I purchase "Sword of the Stars: The Pit - Osmium Edition" for 1,99 and NOT
"The Pit Osmium Edition Bundle" for 3,40 EUR,
I will still eventually have the full game with all DLC?

I ask, because I already bought the game before, only to find out I was missing out tons of DLC.
Or do I just buy the Gold upgrade now and that way get the Osmium Edition?
Things are unclear as heck to me right now.

Well... We have the patch but i still can't run the game in fullscreen... AFAIK they didn't fix the issue and just put the new content on the incomplete linux client.

If you have already the game in steam and puy the Bundle you will probably only pay for the DLCs, which means less than the complete bundle.
