Battle Mode Updates

There is now a "building lifespan" match setting.
There is now a " 3 2 1 GO!" sequence at the start of battles!
There is now a "GAME!" sequence at the end of battles!
The Doomba now makes vacuum sounds ːsteammockingː
The Rescue Jet now makes jet engine sounds
Fixed some bugs

Vibrations Disabled Temporarily

Due to an issue with an extension, controller vibrations are temporarily disabled. They will return new and improved soon.

Input Updates

Mech Tech now allows for 8 Xbox Controllers to be used!
The game now utilizes Open XInput. Made possible by the GameMaker Extension made by Andrew Henley.

Note: This is still in testing. You may experience controller input bugs. Please submit a bug report if this occurs.

Balance Changes

Rocket Trooper Rework

This is now an Anti-Mech unit. It prioritizes targeting mechs.
Only one Rocket Trooper is spawned when the card is played.
Now a special range boost is applied when targeting a mech. (+120 Range)
Rocket projectile changed to Seeker Missile.
Range increased to 150 from 100.
Attack increased to 60 from 30.
Rate of fire slightly increased.

Infantry Changes

Damage reduced to 20 from 25
Rate of fire slightly increased to keep DPS the same as before.
This makes infantry slightly better against groups.

Doomba Changes

Doomba now stuns enemies inside when it is destroyed.
If the Doomba self-destructs, this stun effect is greatly increased and applies to enemies nearby the Doomba.
This stun scales with the number of units inside the Doomba.
Explosion visuals updated to show the effect radius.

Coop Updates

New Conversation and Tip buttons added. (50 conversations so far!)
You can now ZOOM when viewing card details. (right click, or right trigger)

Misc Updates

You now have to release the interact button inside the Command Tank before you can exit. This will fix the issue where you could enter and immediately exit the Command Tank by holding down the button for too long.
Added a "Hop out for ally" message when a friendly mech is near your base and low HP.
Added a "Too far from base" message when players try to spawn units on the opponent's side of the field.
Fixed a good amount of bugs.

Volt Mech Rework

The volt mech's heat management system has been reworked into the less punishing "power" system.
Shots now consume power, instead of generating heat.
When power reaches zero, you can still fire shots, but they will have significantly less damage and range.

Other Changes

You can now re-roll shop items, for a cost.
Fixed issue where some ability equipment didn't work.
Various small bug fixes and tutorial polish

Tutorial Updated

The tutorial now teaches how to hop in and out of the base. And why you want to do that.
Various small bugs in the tutorial have now been fixed

Other Updates

Autocannon Mech aim has been improved slightly, allowing firing of targets barely touching your aim cone.
Tech and Equipment descriptions have been updated to be easier to read.
Some equipment has been rebalanced.
Screenshake has been updated slightly
Quitting out now asks for confirmation to avoid accidental presses.

Balance Updates

Bosses made a little bit easier.
Aura Equipment now activates more frequently
Rare tech and equipment are more likely to appear later into a run

Bug Fixes

Volt mech can now use Mag Release System tech.
Speed tech now works as intended. (rounding removed)
Fixed bug where equipment would attach to wrong card
Fixed tech detail boxes
Fixed bug where rider mines would lose equipment after riding
Fixed multiple visual bugs related to boss battles and UI
Desert map geometry updated to prevent units from occasionally getting stuck on walls

Coop Mode Updates

Shops Added!!

Equipment is a new type of upgrade that can be bought in shops.

You now earn money after every battle.
Equipment can now be bought and attached to your cards.

Other Coop Updates

Added more Mech Tech Upgrades.
The UI for choosing your path has been updated to show more info
Enemies will now also have Tech and Equipment
