IMO it invites players to explore and appreciate the world they live in with the perspectives that they've hopefully gained from playing the game.
Won't happen. Another World's creator (Eric Chahi) disowned HotA years ago.
Interplay insisted on the sequel, and he didn't believe they were up to the task of representing the vision he had created for it.
