If the coin at C is the one you're talking about, I am having the same issue. While there should be a large block at the beginning for you to land on and let loose on the maze below, during my play every time I fell on the block, I went right through it. After the third try, the block let loose and flooded the maze, and now I fall through a hole when I cannonball my way up there, with no way of getting the coin stuck over there.
Through repeated firing of the cannon, it appears to me that the cannons are fixed within a certain range, meaning it doesn't matter if you aim just a wee bit to the left, or aim three bits; you'll still get exactly on where the block used to be.
I've tried aiming in both windowed and fullscreen mode, but that doesn't appear to affect aiming the cannon. I can't say whether there is a difference between landing on the block in windowed or fullscreen mode, because I didn't think to check the difference until after I flooded the maze. Restarting the game also doesn't pose a solution, because the maze remains flooded and the block is gone - and possibly for forever.
I'm just going to assume this is a bug, because I can't think of a solution, and I think 60 percent of the time, you're not supposed to fall through a block every time.
collect all coins is easy, even in area 4.
but last coin impossible to collect.
coin in the C - with block or without u can sometimes land on the corner.
if it does not help - press enter for 5 sec, reset all game.
It's incredibly aggravating that I can't aim anywhere other than the ceiling 5 feet to the right of the platform and can only jump to the platform after hitting the ceiling 1/50 of the time, especially given how tooth-pulling difficult the rest of the section is.
Then I switched my computer. I installed it, and since the Steam cloud saved my progress I could try again. On my 2nd try I reached the platform, but fell a few seconds later. A few more tries and I reached the platform again. Completed the whole thing in less than 10 minutes.
So yeah. If you can access an other (better?) computer, try it. Like I said the Steam cloud saves the progress so it's quick to check on a friend's or family member's computer.
You must go into first cannon (A) and go straight up, the moment you almost touch the platform press F, because of the windows change you will go through the platform and you will land on the coin (C) .
hopefully it works, it did work for me!
I can not thank you enough. Indeed, pressing F to change the window does (atleast in my observation) slightly tilt your character to the right. Both bugged canons could be solved which was not possible before although I needed to abuse the F button quite a lot for the second part. Had to press F four times while flying to adjust the ballistic curve. The trick jumps behind have been easy after a few tries and realize that I have to run off the platform instead of wasting my first jump.
I am so glad that I have not to be frustrated anymore with those stupid canons and I completed finally the game. Thanks again
Though i didn't land on the coin but on the ceiling I was hitting with the cannon, still have to do the platformer part :p
As soon as I restarted the game, it played a bit more smoothly, and I bullseye'd on the first try both shots on the area on the left (with the 2 cannons and the huge block that floods the underground).
When I went for the coin on the area on the right, even my first shot - which was a miss - made me touch the wall on the left sooner than when I had the bloom turned on. Then I made it on the second try! All you gotta remember is that at the end of the shot you'll be hitting one of the blocks on the ceiling and touching the platform on the left, thus enabling you to jump again.
Here's the one of the angles that worked for me: http://i.imgur.com/1Fu8HIB.jpg
These weren't my last coins, as I had missed 3 of them on an area above the guy that enables the cannons, so if you find anyone telling you that this matters, it doesn't.
