- the buffs are good if you have e.g. 3 strikes and then you get a buff to strikes, or your main way of doing damage is one cast and you get a duration buff for that one
In run it looks like there are a few things that aren't specified. One big one being you can only get 3 gods + fates in each run. So you really want to try and build around things that mesh together. I've found that you want at least one of Mort or Time (for the extra EXP / Auto Attack) if you take Mort you really want to get Ravens to spread curse. Then you want one damage god I've found that I like Lightning / Conquest the best although I haven't played around much with Earth, Summer feels weak. Then you want one for utility / mitigation, I think Justice feels the best here because you can build in healing.
An example of an effective build I've used
Time -> Warped Attack, Force, Increased Cast AOE
Conquest -> Blades, Chains, Faster Attack per ruptured enemy
Justice -> Retribution, Protection, Shield (1 point), Radiance
Time makes you level up faster, Justice gives some extra damage and a lot of extra defense / healing. Conquest deals out damage (blades are really strong).
In general you want to try and get your blessings to be the highest rarity possible. Use re-rolls and alterations if you get only 3 novice level offerings. Try and stack Epic / Master level increased % on gear.
Speaking of gear tier 2 is substantially better. It feels like tier 2 blues outclass tier 1 reds so you basically want to rush to stage 2 and just farm there.
Yes it's bad balancing but just plan your builds with her in mind. You actually only have 2 slots for gods left (besides fate) because her regen talent is by far the best one in the game.
Avoron/Kront/Lorien can clear act 2 at darkness 30 without any talents right from the start. For the other heroes it's not worth it and expecially Nixi and Skadi do need max lvl to be even working at all.
Time is atm by far the weakest god. I would generally avoid him with any char/build except if you're overgeared or playing one of the broken classes.
As for gear just use Kront with farmers ring(20% unique drop rate) in act until you got all of the good uniques.
- Belt: Silk road or Waste (Silk road is way better)
- Chest: The Whale of the Desert Seas or Zaratan (only for Kront with a stomp build)
- Relic: Desert Rose or Black Lamp
- Hands: The Gauntlet or the Geminator for non Heavy classes
- The Scorpion Queen if you want to play with Skadi. (This does lock you into Ninh/Lady Justice as 2 out of 3 gods but it's her best weapon)
- The Golden Bow or Duelling Winds
- Karkadann (combined with The Whale of the desert and Waste + Inner piece you're actually immortal at any difficulty)
It doesn't sound like he's even cleared a run so just telling him to use "uniques" is kind of pointless no?
tldr was just use Kront till you got all the gear you need. There is no point in playing any other class for 10 times the effort in regards to farming.
As a new player it makes a huge impact which class you start off with. So it's good to know which gear he should look out for and that a class like Kront does make farming those uniques a breeze after hitting 5/5 in Behemoth heart(lvl 25) talent because it does negate all rng in terms of gods/talents.
Same goes for Lorien which is even easier right from the start but you still need to actually watch the screen instead of just holding one direction and dash for 20min like it's the case with Kront.
Makes sense, maybe I should just use Kront. My first few clears with any danger levels have been Avoron / Lorien but just because I liked the idea behind the classes. It also took me forever to get an actual axe for Kront, none would drop.
Yeah I would highly recomend it. Just stack hp/armor at the beginning. He has very light requirements in terms of gear. The moment he is at 36/36 with the warstomp and behemoth heart it is an actual game changer in terms of farming gear. You just dash around hitting everything for ~10-400k without even attacking while beeing always at 100% hp.
If you get farmers ring (20% increase of unique drops, it's a purple act 2 ring) it snowballs really fast.
What do you do with him before getting to that stomp talent? That seems like it'll take a while to get.
Until Behemoth you have to rely on a bit of luck like with most classes. You can kinda reduce the luck requirements with him if you already got the silk road belt beforehand. (+75% chance of legendary perks).
Low lvl Kront is like:
- Earth spike (Ninh) to kill bosses. War does also work but it is luck based, without his legendary talents he is useless at this stage, you're better off with just picking Ninh and getting Earth Spike up fast, also invest one point into great wall and banish it the next time. It does block The cats/queens/djins laser beams.
If you're further into the game you actually want to get hit by it because the'll damage themselves way more with retribution and your life reg is higher than their dmg even at Darkness 100/max boss dmg.
I had a fun thorn/retribution build with avaron which the djinn killed himselves in like 2 beams just from attacking me.^^
- Searing Attack (Summer) By far the best offensive attack skill and you'll get fury on top from her.
- Fury the same as searing attack it does increase your dmg by miles when maxed.
The important thing to watch out for is that you always pick a helmet with 9,8% master chance and 90+ hp. Also get his talent for master& legendary perks(if you're not already at 90%+ legendary perk chance).
Winter is also a solid choice instead of Ninh/War but ONLY if you already have at atleast 20% Master and 90-100% legendary chance. At this point(before endgame) she has the best passive legendary talents in the game only behind Lady Justice.
The moment you're max lvl it all changes a lot.
- Ninh for Mountainous Might and Persistance
- Leigong for lighting orbs & haste(you don't attack so movespeed is nice) & ball lightning( a useless skill for any other class but hitting enemies 8-10x times a second for ~ 50k with a controller circling around them while your dash is on cd is nice) --> If you use a +% dmg on undamaged enemies build than go for War instead of Leigong
- As always Lady Justice for inner piece and retribution to speed up the laser boss killings
Started using Kront after talking to you. Retribution is absolutely bonkers, I didn't even have behemoth heart just stacked armor / hp / regen and got a high level retribution + war chains for aoe and absolutely stomped with 15 points of extra danger.
Dhjin shot me with his flame blast and died in a fraction of a second, the cats all die instantly it's pretty funny. Very solid thorns build.
Gear matters a ton. Fire dash does the most damage of any dash. All summons are garbage. Bow guy is the most powerful character. Lifesteal on gear is overpowered. Evasion sucks compared to armor and hp, but is better than nothing.
I'm a big fan of Winter, Chill and Freeze are super powerful. Always take Earth Spike if offered (untill they nerf it)
Sometimes finding a good weapon takes a few runs of being successful or getting lucky in the shop.
