Genie ring ?

It might have a joint effect when paired with the black lamp relic, which summons the Black Genie. I haven't tested it. The black lamp also drops from the act 2 final boss. At least that's how I got both items.

There are a few uniques that have a description with no listed effects. I would like to assume they actually do something if certain conditions are met, but who knows.

Text: It´s definitely just and ordinary belt
Maybe it´s some kind of easter egg if you find all of them.
Is there any other "weird" items with only text?

Found this in the discord FAQ, as a pinned comment :

• The Code: -0.5% Enemy HP
  
• The Belt: 1 Armor, +20% Mythic Item Chance
  
• Ancient Hieroglyph: +3 Banishes, +3 Rerolls, +3 Alterations
  
• Genie Ring: No one knows yet... if you find this out you'll be a legend

There is another, more populated, post dedicated to unravel the genie ring in the steam forums. Nothing conclusive so far.

came to spread misinformation about 'the code' but was too late.

Does that ring literally just drop the enemy max-hp by .5 percent?

That's what I understand from the way it is written. This effect is probably only noticeable in high darkness runs.
This FAQ comment was pinned by a moderator in the official discord, so that's the most trustworthy source one can find aside from direct testing/datamining.
The Ancient hieroglyph's effect is easy to check.

Here is a bit of info from the same moderator :
"Basically, green text means hidden effect
Because flavour text is yellow and italicised"

And now, I'll just have to look at every unique I have.

I was thinking maybe something happens if you beat the Djin with the Genie ring on? But haven't tested it

I defeated the DJIN on 85 skulls difficulty with it vearing it, wearing the black lamp. Nothing happened. But i think i picked up the black lamp while i war wearing the ring. Now unequiping the ring, since i minmax gear to defeat djinn at 90 skulls.

i also am going to try this at some point. I beat act 2 while wearing it, nothing. Then I got the Black lamp, haven't beaten it while wearing both yet. Very curious what it does and what the condition to be met is.

It's not bugged, its called "the code" and has code for its description, clearly intentional.

I kind of wish uniques weren't basically memes, but if they wanted to lean that hard into it give me a Deckard Cain ripoff that will tell me exactly what they do for gold.
