I did a pure summoner build with Merris. Put the extra points in some of those dash talents. It's unstoppable. Blood swords, frost wolves and whatever from lady death.

Try the crit/strike build, it's even more insane

Kront dash build is crazy, aoe screen wipe with no counterplay

I actually switched to Castor Merris once I got all the skill tree points. I really like it. The % chance to cast a random spell(?) each time you dash, and the chance to double cast any spell is great. The meteor that leaves fire patches, the lightning orbs and the shadow snake specifically are really nice. I have 3 dashes, high skill grade evolution chance, and an item that allows for evolving to the pink tier (after purple). By 10 minutes I don't see many enemies on screen anymore. Sorry I can't remember the correct names for, well, pretty much anything. Merris is fun either way you build her.
