Also, there are Talents that give regen/life steal.
You definitely do not want to go full damage if you want to survive Act 2.
Its on gear and talents now and you can get a LOT more of it...
> limiting the amount of summons
If you want to go full summon, you can either a) talent Merris or Skadi into summons or b) pick up a piece of gear with +1 summon slot. It's that easy.
If anything, this update has given us more build diversity and strengthened the builds that were already out there.
Almost no onehas regen on the talents
And yes, you do go full damage on Act 2 and you steamroll it
All you need now is damage, even AdmiralBahroo is right now steamrolling it with a full damage dash build
You can also have a full damage autoattack one, and you will do it
We have LESS build diversity than before, mbefore you could actually play a regen builds, or a full minion build
Its not on talents, not for the Knight for example (o life regen on talents) or for the Ranger (again, 0 life regen on talents)
The Orc can get 0.5% max life regen from talents and thats it
This update has less build diversity than before.
You could go summons with EVERYONE before, and you could go life regen with EVERYONE before
You had less limitations with the previous patch, now you have more, which equals to less build diversity
Again, i could have a Knight summoner before
Now i cant
Its objetively true that we have less build diversity
You get 4 talent points per run in Act 1 and 8 talent points per run in Act 2.
You can max out your talent points for a single character in (3 runs of Act 1) + (3 runs of Act 2), assuming you win all of them. If not, it will take you a few runs more... which is FINE. It's OKAY to have some progression in the game.
Assuming you take 25 minutes per run, if you're doing well then you can get max Talent Tree for a single character in like 2.5-3.5 hours. Which is one or two days of casually playing.
That's not even remotely close to the fake claim you made of this process taking you 3 months.
At this point I have to ask: do you even WANT to play this game at all? Or do you just want to open the game and have it be 100% complete immediately, and then you quit the game because it's already completed?
Then its terrible. I could make every run different before, without having to switch gear
I could get into any run, see what God powers came up, and do whatever i wanted in that run
That is versatiliyy and build diversity
Having to pre gear for specific builds without even starting the run is BAD for the game, it reduced versatility and build diversity
Gear should increase your power NOT enable builds
Builds in roguelike games should NOT depend on gear, but on the things you get offered each run, thats how you get a more diverse game experience
Spoken like someone who never played a game with even remotely good itemization. Your statement is the literal opposite of how good itemization works.
Picking out well curated gear to wear which then enables entire new builds is a good thing, not a bad thing.
Then go play a game that doesn't revolve around persistent loot (item) progression. You just sound like you don't want to play Death Must Die. The game is trying to find its niche by having gear be important. That's the game. Maybe you just don't like the game.
I loved the game, untill they decided to reduce versatility and diversity
And i am not the only one
