Genie ring Unique question

Is this ring a joke or does it actually ever do anything? It says "I 'm not coming out yet", implying there is some condition for it to come out?

can you post a screenshot? or at least give the effects? often the flavor is just a reference with the effects being related to them. for example there's a helm that reads: strong as rock, dumb as..... rock and it gives you +300 armor but -50% experience

I saw that red gem and had wondered where it came from. I am still not sure it is better than a ring with flat exp/second gains. I had the ring on the whole time and saw the red gems pop up only a few times a run, like maybe 3 times for 30-60 seconds each time. I think I was getting around 10-15 red gems before they went away. 1 flat exp/s gain is worth 1200 exp a run, and is only one of 3 or 4 effects on a decent ring. I would take a lot of exp/gem for 45ish red gems to make up for that loss.

Red gems were spawning before I had this ring tbh

Been playing with it for 3 hours now. There is no red gem spawn for this ring, for anyone who doesn't want to waste their time. I beat the djinn & had all interactions with the "genie statues" in act 2 & still can't figure out what this ring is supposed to do. Perhaps it pairs with another item?

probably , the description on the ring refers to the djinn as the "lazy brother"

I dropped a relic mythic unique that I think it's related to it : the black Lamp; that give a summon fighting along side us. maybe if we combine both it does something ?! the title of the summon is "Three for Three" maybe three brothers ?

That has nothing to do with the ring. Red gems have always existed they just collect off screen xp more now similar to how VS works.

Maybe, maybe not, there is also an encounter on the act 2 : a black lamp that can either spawn an evil effrit that can fight for you or you can fight it. I didn't tried to click on it with both item equip yet. maybe there is something there ?

i jsut got the lamp and i've had the ring. i'm also familiar with the fight you're talking about. i'll try and do all three at once but it seems like a long shot lol

Red gems are when too much exp drop on the map that isnt collected yet, it all goes to the red gem :P

Honestly, I think it's a piece of gear added to the pool to lower the chances of getting something actually good.

It really seems like a joke because.. well it's a ring lol what's it gonna come out of exactly? a lamp makes sense but a ring lol?
