What happened to the character passives

im probably dumb, but i cant find the new skill tree esc upgrades, or the old passive which you would have to get from achievements.

skill tree is unlocked when you kill a boss, and loot the purple portal things. you will have essentially lost some character power until you kill several bosses. this creates flexibility, and shakes up the OP builds you had before.

They should have given those of us who got the campfire skills at least a couple points for the tree so we didnt feel like we were starting over

Agreed. I beat Dracula a while back but I don't seem to have stage 2 unlocked. Do I have to beat him again?

For me yes, I have just played 1 game yesterday and after beating Dracula, I was abale to choose the second map inside the HUB. You unlock the skill tree too.

Yeah, beat him once and it should unlock the desert.

Its right of the main floor where you select level/'difficulty'. Green firey tapestry. Might need to kill death first.
Can also be viewed after boss kill via inventory (B key) left menu at the top right. Click the orb.

I've just come back to the game and imo this is a downgrade. I liked the specific tasks to progress them instead of just "hurr go kill bosses like dumb dumb"
