Merris is simply better

I know it's a hot take but

There is no reason to use any other characters. Merris is the only one with a range basic attack. Making it better than any melle character for almost any kind of builds.
You can keep walking toward shrines while attacking ennemis, you don't need to have them coming close to you.
The leveling up is therefore much easier with merris, and feels much better in the first minutes of the game.
Not only that, but fighting bosses is again much better with merris as they fly around and you don't have to run after them to keep attacking them.
Merris kills the bosses faster, easier, with less risks, as well as most ennemis in the game.
And the cherry on top is that she's the only one profiting from additionnal attack projectiles bonuses which are truly cool and efficient to use.

The only other character i think is playable is kront because his attacks are around him and not limited to one direction like the other characters. Making it possible to make a build based on the area around you.

The three other characters i see no reason to use.
If someone has a build in mind for either Avoron, nixi or skadi that would be truly cool to make i'm open to it. But i don't think anything can come close to endgame Merris.

Merris is good but Nixi's luck, dash or nova builds are far superior. All of this will change in the next 24 hours.

I don't know much about the incoming patch but if it changes a lot of characters and builds i'm all for it.

I only spam Meris too, range attacks + infinite pull is just easy mode

Merris is awesome but I am also having great time with Skadi focused on HP regenaration. I sometimes (rarely) die during the final boss fight while playing as Merris on difficulty 30, with highly regenerative Skadi I haven't died on difficulty 30 even once.

I admit, that I'm surprised there isn't at least a ranger or crossbow option for the rogue, etc sorta char. Tho, yeah. Hope the update lives up to the hype. I keep wanting to play, but it's like.. Patch soon.. wait..

if you take away merris' infinite pull range sign and or dont use Time's attack shes basically tied for worst along with kront. lol
with those 2 things.. yeah shes the best.
skadi is best imo. can use any skills and finish D30 with ease.
