Shadowshift?

Am I missing something or is it terrible? You have to spec almost all your points into to get value and it doesnt seem to proc the way it says? I was expecting to always be in and out and using it as a way to basically dash constantly but it doesnt seem to work that way. If the whole point is to occasionally get one strong attack off it is a huge waste when literally the whole rest of her tree does that but much better. Thoughts? I hope im just confused about how it works.

It lasts for a bit once you max it out and your damage output for these bursts is pretty good. The only issue with it would be mob density. Its a lot harder to keep up the buff without having a lot of enemies to dash threw.

its "finicky" , but because of this talent nix is the new queen of 1 shot ( with general purpose equip i killed djinn in 2 hits ...)
having +1 dash boots is mandatory
edit: not only it amplify your next hit by like x600% but it can also critt for another x400% , and you have 50 % chance to auto-reenter shadowshift , can result in a really long chain . dont know if luck affects % to re-enter shadowshift from "eternal night"

The thing is, it seems that shes better off with just a crit build, like I dont see a difference other than more consistency. I wish she had more direct dash buffs, but dashes dont really need any buffs rn, they're insanely op lol

It's incredibly powerful if you turn off auto attacks (q) while shadowshifting. Ignore the line about dealing extra damage on an attack when you leave it, it's all about staying inside for as long as possible. You can do a fire dash build and spam dashes, one shotting mostly everything (really strong imo). You can do an attack build triggering 10 shadow attacks per second without the need to scale attack speed. You can do a strike build the same in the same fashion. Lots of possibilities.

What Wildcard said. I used a Fire dash build for D70, ended up with about 20 million dash damage, and that's without optimal dash gear.

I had no idea turning off auto attack would fix it :O
