Act 2 items just better all around compared to Act 1?

It seems that all the tier 2 stuff is just flat better than tier 1, in which case is there any point at all in pushing act 1 anymore? I used to do the harder difficulties in act 1 but now it seems its better to simply load up act 2 without any buffs and work on that instead.

if you have t1 gear from pre-patch you may have some items with strong effects ( that where nerfed/removed with the patch, like amulets with master%, body armor with 50 % exp increase)
but overall yeah , go directly for t2 items

I'm also a big fan of the +198% blessing rarity upgrade rings. I tend to replace them over time, but they're a nice item to start Act 2 with.

I do wish that you could start earning T2 gear in Act 1 past a certain Darkness level. It would be nice just for the variety.

Full mystic is not helping me to clear act 2 though
Cant beat 14 min boss. Tried different gods, not helping really.
I heard people said you need to get some semi trash blue gear in act 2 to make myself tanky to win... What a bummer.
Miss the old time i can win highest difficulty in act 1 with 40 hp full offence build.

Yeah, the Act 2 boss design makes it so that it's extremely difficult to avoid all the damage (which should be obvious since the bosses now drop large heals when they die). Even once you're comfortable with the boss' attack patterns you're still likely to take occasional light hits (like a single tick from the Curse's charge or get winged by the Bee Queen's laser for a split second), so if you're sitting at 40HP you're going to have a much smaller reserve to rely on. You don't need to go hardcore into HP to succeed if you don't want to though. You could always snag one +HP piece of gear to boost your HP over 100 and that would give you a lot more breathing room.

lots of gear T2 gear has a decent amount of life too, it would be hard to avoid it on even just one piece
