Mobs in act 2 need a lot of work
This in an issue in general. I don't think the mobs and bosses have been tested properly against low power chars.
If your char deletes the whole screen and you don't interact with the enemies, then you don't see how broken some of them are.
I am by now really good at dodging most thing. But those floating enemies in act that shoot out fire lines and also explosions under you are just a joke. It is impossible to dodge them. The fire lines are way too fast. And if you watch them to see the lines, you miss the explosions under yourself, which are also WAY TOO FAST.

The game has potential, but ♥♥♥♥ like this just shoe-horns me into OP broken builds so I can make any progress.

The green goblin type enemies are also just as bad. They delete half your HP before you notice them and start moving in weird back and forth pattens to avoid the bombs.

The main issue of course is that farming act 1 isn't viable. Because of the tier system, so I now get to enjoy act 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ constantly.

Usually you can close the distance with two dashes to cat, regardless of a character. Columns that are everywhere in the second act can also block lasers, so you can hide behind them. Bomb throwers are also incredibly easy to avoid - walk in small circle, or zig-zag. None of that requires a specific "op" build, just a skill with basic mechanics and pattern recognition.

I agree there's some tough situations in the act, but honestly, some attempts you won't even notice them because you get certain blessings that are perfect for that situation... and some attempts you'll wipe on the dumbest stuff for the dumbest reasons. I've had builds that can clear Act 2 lvl 100 no matter what blessings I get, and I've had builds that rely on very specific first rolls or else they're doomed to fail... it's what keeps the game re-playable for me

The floating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that throw instant fire at you are absolutely imbecilic. Like what's the counter play here, especially for melee? There is none. The only time I got past them on 40 was to have a 70% evasion build with high divine shield, high armor and high retribution AND lifestealer legendary passive. Just tank them forever while they kill themselves, since they WILL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HIT YOU. You can't dodge, they are hard to chase as well for assassin.

Oh and then you get a bomb in the face. Absolutely trash design. Melee get screwed in this game in general

You get your gear from the shop. Drops in act I will only take you so far in my experience. Farm Act I, sell all the gear untill you find something busted OP in the shop which in my experience was fairly often. as avoron I can essentially never lose so far because i just cant die even with bad god abilities.

I hope by now you've figured out there's a very straightforward way to dodge them...

This is not how it works in practice. If you dont insta kill cats you will have spawn more of them befor the previous ones die and you will be forced to interact with at least one of tham at long disance, which makes it impossible to avoid damage.
Attacks still need to be avoidable in the worst case scenario which is absolutly not the case with the current mobs in act 2.

honestly i have more problems with "the cursed" boss fight when it screams "RUN", she can out run your 2 dashes and unless you have pillars to run towards, you are guaranteed to lose half your health fighting this boss.

same thing goes for those floating maidens that throw fire pilars at you, sometimes they cast fire pillars, sometimes they cast directly under you, and if you dont kill them quickly just like cats, they will delete your health bar.

they need some work.

protip - there are patterns to these mobs , if u learn them u can basically perform a no-hit malenia fight

like ya , act 2 is supposed to be more difficult than act 1 ppl XD

once you have any character fully geared and with 36 points , even darkness 100 isnt that difficult [which imho is a shame , becuz max heat in hades is bananas difficult]
