"Im just not checking the Discord much cuz I'm trying to focus on work.
Some reasons for the slowdowns are that we spent a lot of time gathering and reading feedback after the EA launch, weeks. Then there was Christmas and New Year so I took 5-6 days off, I dont remember.
And then we started changing how some systems and data formats work so we can have a smoother development moving forward. This is obviously not direct content so in a way its "wasted development" short term, but I think we kind of needed to tackle those. It was probably a stupid decision
And I'm an inefficient animator and designer too
As you can see - not good reasons, but since you guys wanted to know"
I could see the masses not being pleased with that response, but to me it's fine. It does let you know as an investor that they're still toiling away on the game, so I hope he does steam store updates just to keep people engaged.
There was this game I bought like 8 years ago, and the dev STILL updates it. Solo dev, still not completed. It's not what I was hoping for overall, but... it's fun, so I don't regret buying it. It's always nice that the solo-dev gives updates, each month just so you know they're still working on it.
Discord is much easier to send/receive a reply from a dev than on Steam... and if you look in some of these other "where update?!!?" threads- or on the patch/beta forum, the comments are far from constructive or polite.
I have no issue with looking in the dev's discord (since I joined it before the link here broke) and reposting any replies they send through there since this thread was actually reasonable.
Really? You're not mad? I dunno this sounds pretty mad:
Seems like you're pretty worked up in your other thread about not getting updates as frequently and in the format you want.
