Skadi Gender: A full historical investigation

Why i did this research: because history and mythology are cool.

Long Version: Skadi is a winter warrior goddess in norse mythology, she was the daughter of a giant and wanted revenge from the aesir gods, instead of revenge she got compensation and married one of the gods and became a god by marriage.
The Ethymology of the term "Skadi" is a topic of controversy, one line of thinkers believe that "Skadi" = Shadow (shadow in old saxon is "scado") to many historians there is a link betwen norse and celtic mythology here, they connect Skadi to the Irish and Scottish heroine and legend "Scáthach/Sgàthach" (the shadowy one), this one is a legendary scottish warrior woman and teacher, from what i gather she taugh the mc, of the story that she is part, how to be a warrior. All art i found about this warrior woman shows that she is also a redhead and in a lot of them she is using armour or male clothes (easier for combat i guess), in other she uses a simple dress and more fantasy drawings she is using a kilt.

So in other words: skadi is a warrior woman inspired in celtish tradition, she is named with norse/germanic name because Skadi sounds a lot better than "Scáthach", i should also mention that Skadi is too a warrior woman who uses armor or male gear in some representations, and both of them are masters of spear use, and norse Skadi likes to skii, for some reason lol.

According to legend Scáthach is a warrior, but not just any warrior, THE WARRIOR, the greatest of them all, she lives in a fortress at the top of a mountain, this fortress is called the "Fortress of Shadows", its here that she trains celtic heroes on "how to be warriors", she has daughters and they are also good warriors and a sister called Aífe that is her Rival.

Nah, people will find a way to stay ignorant. Cognitive dissonance is a powerful force. That the topic existed in the first place is all the proof you need of that.

Anyone who has read anything related to Nordic mythology know of Skadi. The rest can do a google search. First match. Or they can go to the image section and see exclusively pictures of women. The people in that thread are out of reach and they will stay there either forever or until they grow up.
