Why is it so hard to get Mort now?

I've played more than 30 games since yesterday and I have gotten Mort maybe 2 times. Was something changed? In contrast i get lightning a lot.

I only played a couple runs since the patch but I felt the same tbh

It's just rng being rng. I played several hours this morning, and got Mort every run. There was a period after the patch where I got spammed with Justice, and it felt the same way, like the rates had changed, but they haven't, just anecdotal confirmation bias getting the best of you. Dice rolls will do that.

This right here is the simple and main answer in how to avoid not getting the gods you want. I've even done stupid things like burned as many banish dice as was needed to remove gods from the RNG pool, but just a warning, if you banish all 3 blessings at once you lose the ability to pick any level up bonus. I don't mind doing this for Winter where I just grabbed the circle of frost, or conquest/war whatever aries is called after I take whatever minor niche bonus he can provide for the build I'm doing at the moment, and then happily accept skipping a single level up just to remove him from the pool.
