Armor stat
How does the armor stat work. I have 200 of it starting on a character and it doesn't seem to do anything.

It seems it has some kind of diminishing return past a certain amount. If you can test it, try to play a character with low armor, and max armor with Justice. You'll see that for a time the damage reduction quickly increases, but past a certain point, at around 50% imo, it starts to give less and less

You can watch a characters stats (by pressing B by default) and hover over the armor stat to see what it does for you exactly (x% reduced damage taken, with the value being shown depending on your current armor)

As described you can think of armor as a linear EHP multiplier.

200 armor = 2x effective HP, you will take half damage.

400 armor = 3x ehp

600 armor = 4x ehp

Armor does a lot if you plan to get hit, considering bosses will one-shot you if you dont have enough of it, and reducing the damage you take overall means you need less healing.

400 is 4x (75%), I believe
Also yes, it does help. On 30 diff I either pick some hp or armor even on merris and nixi, so I don't get one shot if if mess up a bit.
