Passive Experience gain and luck...
... are without a doubt the strongest mechanics in this game. Dice, damage, crit defenses are all nice, but getting 7,5XP per second gets you to at around level 45 every game and also lets you gather more shrines and you don't have to attack/stand stiill as much to gather XP.

And then there is luck. Holy crap, where do I even begin? Flare alone can clear 7/8 of the game while standing still. Most mobs won't even get a single attack in. Archers and mobs with long dash are an exception here, as their Flare triggers get often blocked by other mobs in the way. Nixi is queen when it comes to luck because of her sign. Also Serendipity should be a Fates-Blessing, not Mort. Mort is already so incrediibly strong and shifting it over to the Fates would (ironically) allow for less randomness when it comes to luck, as the Fates are guaranteed every time.

What do you guys think? Is passive experience gain too strong compared to other item stats?

Not really, but I do abuse it sometimes specifically for how I built out my Nixi. On my Merris it's actually experience % gain I have on a few pieces. Since the only boss that can surprise and oneshot me anymore is a misstimed dracula hit, I even sometimes slip those pieces of gear off in exchange for raw stat pieces I found during the current run, lol.

I know serendipity is strong, but due to the internal cooldown on effects going off, it doesn't matter much to me since I prefer aiming to get Fury as either mastered, or force it into becoming so via Alteration or farming Pandemonium. When you get your shot speed to ridiculous levels it just no longer matters if you got Serendipity or not it feels like.

Well, aside from being able to laugh at Flare having a frigging 90% activation rate.
