The dialogue is highly unprofessional and immersion breaking.

I understand this isn't supposed to be the most serious game, but using short hand and ASCII emoticons in the dialogue is pretty bad guys.. like one of the characters said "who tf are you".. Seriously? That's not okay unless you're making a project for a high school programming class, not a paid product.

I get it's a small piece of the game, but putting in proper dialogue really adds to a game, instead of taking away from it.

No really it is text, it is hard to use text to represent tone, except they use different style to rerpresent their tone.

In what way is it a meme crawler aside from the dialog from two particular characters? -Because aside those two characters, the rest of the game seems to take itself somewhat seriously. Especially the Gods when you meet them.

I dunno, maybe the ♥♥♥♥-talking skeleton? The soda filled suits of armor? The fact like half the dialogue is references to other games? The Orc Handyman? Several of the Uniques also being references, including to memes?

To be honest I didn't even catch onto any sort of reference or funny bits of dialog until 15 hours in. The trash talking skeleton isn't that big of an issue. It reminds me of Hades Skelly. Not too wild of a thing to include.

However easter eggs and references are one thing I feel like. The rest of the game still seems to have some sort of story it's trying to tell with its characters that's portrayed in a somewhat serious manner. Especially the Gods.

Again I think it'd just be way better if they added little chat bubbles above the characters with an emote/expression instead of text personally. Instead of the "^.^" stuff just have this above the character's head

It doesn't really bother me like yeah sometimes I have to stop and try to translate it but can't change that. Each generation keeps coming up with new words and I gave up on trying to keep up with them.

I kinda love the Ascii emotes. Adds to the charm of the few Characters that use them. It gives them a special personality of being a bit cheeky, because they aren't playing by the rules.

Some of you people need a serious dose of Serious Sam.

It's okay if you don't like this design choice. Many other people find it funny and do in fact like it. So unless there is an obvious and overwhelming amount of players disliking this type of written language in the game, it's a stale mate and thing stay the way they are.

I mean people could well say "I want the game to be called >glarbazorb<" and they would basically have the same reasoning you do.

Does number of threads really make an opinion more valid than others? What if there were just as many threads saying they liked the dialogue? Every single thread has just as many people disagreeing as there are that agree. Not everyone agrees that there's anything wrong with it, what makes it "valid"?
