Depending on what other properties the weapon has, it may still make sense to use a weapon with less DPS.
In the case of Merris, it is advisable (depending on the build / way you want to play) to go for Spell Damage or Summon Damage
At first I thought the weapon had another advantage, but it only increases my attack speed by +0.10, which can't keep up with -50% damage.
But why would you build weapons that are even worse than no weapon at all or just the standard weapon? Just so you can sell them?
Only an increase in attack speed and attack damage, neither of which is even close to enough in this case.
