The way they talk is comedic. I like it if they stay.

It's a cop-out to avoid having to actually sit down and make real personalities that fit the reality they're in. It just comes off as a bit lazy and clashes hard with all of the other high effort and quality parts of the game's design. Text chat and emojis have no place in a world that is obviously low tech fantasy. It's not a stylistic choice, and people for the most part aren't "bullying" it, it's just a bad choice that is completely detached from every other thematic choice in the design direction of the game.

My biggest hope is that the characters get voice acting and their text lines are re-written, pushing the personality work more into the VA.
