Controller problems [Solved!]
So I just bought the game because of so many recommendations and I enjoy playing a game like this with a gamepad. Though when I tried to bind my gamepad it won't recognize it. I have a Mad Cats 360 gamepad and it works in ALL games I currently have. Does anyone else have the same problem or is there a solution for it?

I found that when I ran pad.exe it told me that it could not find any gamepads.
I closed it and then I tried running pad.exe as an administrator instead, and my wired xbox360 controller showed up first try. I closed it once more and relaunched the game and everything worked fine!
I have an official Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller that works in flawlessly in most games. However, it is unresponsive in Evoland.

In Evoland I get the errors:

(null):Error:Error#3219
(null) 1920x1200

In the top right corner when starting the game. I suspect they maybe SLI related because of the mention of resolution, and I am having no graphical issues.

I have tried the fix of running pad.exe as admin, and the pad is found and listening on localhost. However, when I start the game, there are no controllers found still.

Please help.

Thanks.

I have this problem. I tried the fix but pad.exe crashes right away no matter what compatibility options I try. I'm running windows 8.1 btw.

I fixed this problem by swapping where my USB's are plugged in.

If you go into your evoland folder and run pad.exe, it will show you what joystick evoland is trying to use. I swapped my xbox 360 controller receiver with the controller that was showing in pad.exe and found that after that, pad.exe found my xbox controller. I hope this helps.

I'm having the same issue after upgrading from Windows 10 from Windows 7. I have a 360 controller using the Microsoft wireless receiver. The error that appears is:

(null):Error:Error#3219
(null) 1920x1200

As a workaround, I enabled "Run as Administrator" in the compatibility tab, by right clicking Evoland.exe and going to properties. However, after setting the game to run as Administrator, the Steam overlay no longer works, which kills the ability to play this game easily in Big Picture Mode.

I am going to skip this game, hopefully Evoland 2 is a lot better and has working gamepad support.

I'm having the same issue. This is ridiculous that it shows a "full controller support" and it won't work. The possible solution mentioned doesn't work for me on Win 8.1. pad.exe crashes when I try to open it, even in compatibility mode.

Both Evoland.exe and pad.exe must be set to "Run as Admin". Setting this for pad.exe only made pad.exe detect my controller, but it still wouldn't work ingame (I would get error 3219 and in Options it would say "Error Wait"). I'm on Windows 10, btw.

Worked for me as well. Just right click and select "run as admin" one time and problem solved. Thanks for the tip!

So I had the same issues (through GOG) but was able to get my controller recognized in this sequence

Set pad.exe to run as admin... didn't work.

Set evoland.exe to run as admin.. = Worked!

OS = Windows 10
Controller = Xbox One controller with wireless adapter
