Gamepad Error Access Violation

This is what i am getting in the options menu. I have a Xbox 360 wired controller.

also i just got that the error is #1005

Delete the d8input.dll file in your evoland dir. This will stop the error, and let you do the fix below:

Then do the traditional fix, use pad.exe in compatibility mode with admin access to recognize controller. Then, turn off compatibility, leave admin on.

Then, turn on evoland admin access. Gamepad should work after that.

Edit: For further info, do this after deleting d8input.dll. This fixed a lot of problems for me:
