How do you guys build your supermax security buildings?
I build them next to my deathrow buildings (crazy i know) and seperate it from the rest of the prison with a perimeter wall.

This is pretty smart as the whole idea of Supermax is that you want your worst inmates away from the rest of your population. Having Death Row walled off in the same area isnt a bad idea since it keeps them away from the larger inmate groups.

Here is my prison I have on the Workshop, you don't need to download it but the picture shows how everything sits. (Supermax and Death Row on the right, Max-Sec on the left)

Nice prison. Not going to download because I don't want my pc to explode ;)

I tend to make my SMax wing the same way I make my PC wing.

Perimeter Walls, 100% indoors and at least a two sally-port Remote Door Staff Only entrances. Remote Doors being the strongest door type in the game gives security plenty of time to respond to anything kicking off.
They stop SMax leaving their block and it stops everyone else getting inside the PC wing.

My supermax cell block of 120 prisoners is built exactly the same as the rest of my max sec block. However, the reason for that is because they have their own workshops, classrooms, canteen, etc and the only reason they every need to leave the block is to visit the library or infirmary.

I also placed lots of armed guards around the block just in case.

Too lazy to really design a separate block for them. Prefer to have everything look orderly instead :P

I only put lengendaries or violent instagators in S. Max, so I have never used more then 4 at a time, they accually manage to get paroled.

Max sec have the cells on the Left Side, Normal Sec has the middle holding cell and Min Sec has the Right Holding cell.

I place all legendaries, volatiles, instigators, skilled fighters in supermax.

I found it a VERY good idea to seperate volitile and instgators. Volitiles go on Max, Instigators go to Min.

Do you guys only put your legendary prisoners in supermax or all of the bad ones?

I make about 4 5x5 cells with the works (phone tv weights bed chair shower) each with two servoed solitary doors for my generally small collection of "Supermax". Typically I only qualify inmates as supermax if they are legendary or have atleast 3 traits that cause major issues EG. extremely volatile extremely strong deadly for example. permanent lockdown. Typically i also make a block of roughly 6 cells on the opposite end of the prison for inmates that have in house rapsheets as long as my arm (5x found weapons, tools, escape attempt etc) or extremely volatiles. Other than that as long as most prisoners needs are met having any one singular trait doesnt worry me and I allow them all to mix and work together.

So Remote Doors are the strongest? I need some major steel to keep in my new Legendary.

I wish i could make my prison like some kind of russian gulag.

Guards with guns everywhere and which also does not increase the danger level.

Crap food and of course free fire on :P

That way i dont have to worry about my legendaries anymore

my prison of 1200 is very simple with supermax, I just have a cell block designated supermax, with a high volume of guards stationed there. Nothing different than the normal cells except its zoned supermax. The supermax prisoners are locked up for most of the day and only come out when the rest of the prisoners are asleep. I just found it cheaper and space saving to just let them use the normal prison when no one else was vs building their own area for needs.

Craziest thing was I watched the Legendary guy just float right through the walls of his mini-prison and go on a rampage. No damage to the walls and his cuffs disappeared. Legendary indeed.

Thats enough to give any prison keeper nightmares for the rest of his life
I just make sure if anyone misbehaves there's always at least 4 guards with tazers in close proximity. They have their own cell block. But it ain't seperated from anything else.
