It's like saying, "they set themselves on fire because they took the words 'sun bathing' seriously."
Workshops and the sort are great ways of aquiring tools. You can also form gangs, so that as well renders your argument invalid. It's not a, 'Form a Gang Mode' after all.
You can access the workshop and any other rooms during work hours (iirc) even though you are not able to work. You do not need to break down the door either just wait until Work shows up in your relevant security levels regime and access the room and steal to your hearts content. Just make sure you hide the contraband before you get busted...
BUT, the extent to which going into a Workshop matters, and the extent to which there is any point in forming a gang... is how it helps you escape. Because this really is Escape Mode. Not hang-out-in-prison mode.
I agree on requiring some needs so long as you don't spend more time filling needs than escaping.
Nightime is good for tunneling though if you get bored and don't want to skip.
That would totally defeat the purpose of Esacpe Mode... plus it would take a lot of programming to get right, especially with the pathing issues that exist...
OK no, it wouldn't defeat the purpose. A huge part of escaping is waiting for the right moment. And I also think it would take virtually no additional programming, it would be just like going into Follow mode on an existing prisoner, then un-following when it was time to control the prisoner again. Couldn't be easier. I don't know what pathing issues you think exist, but my AI prisoners have no pathing problems.
AND customize ur characters Gang, Face, Body, and Security! They wasted code on escape mode in my opinion.
