Trouble manning the Door control system
I've built my Door Control system it was manned, then they got tired, and now no one can get inside outside the room, the tired guard is back on his feet, and there is someone hovering inside the security room (not deployed, i've tried that though and still no luck)

Any other ways of trying to fix it?

Don't door control your door control room!?

Can you manually set the door to open still? What about a power switch?

remove the door and build a regular door?

It's been connected and it was working fine before xD yeah you can open it but then I have to sit watch of it, I was building a room while letting the prison run and they were all stuck at the door :L

Trial and error

You *could* have two control locations, both operating the doors through an "or" gate so that either station could open the doors. So, as long as either one was manned, you'd be good.

Looks like you cannot connect the door controls through logic gates, but you can have both panels connected to the same door. I setup a quick test and both doors can be opened separately from both panels. (just ignore the two logic gates left behind)

Remote Doors are currently an issue as where each shift change occurs there's a chance that an unmanned Door Control System can cause all kinds of havoc. This is mostly due to the fact that Prison Architect as of right now doesn't reassign a job to someone else if an agent can't reach the location of the job.

I initially thought I had sorted the issue out by separating my various sections of and using as few Remote Doors as possible, only using 4 to highly unusual places that sees almost no traffic. However even after weeks of an issue free experience, everything collapsed when the guard manning the next shift was behind one of the remote controlled doors at the time of the shift change.

According to my Jobs Report, the door control system was manned and the job was currently in process, however no guard was standing by. It took me some time to realize that the guard "currently manning the station" was trapped behind one of the remote controlled doors he was supposed to be controlling. No matter what I did, employing new guards, assigning patrols/stationary guards to the door control, solved the issue. I had to finally open the door manually to allow the assigned guard through.

Due to this the best choice available is also the least realistic choice available: Connect all Door Control Systems to all Remote Doors in your prison! This is to minimize the potential of issues such as these to occur, but is an inherently flawed design.

I fixed my problem easy about that boring thing simply. Build a small private staffroom zone close to your security room and lock the security room and staffroom access to only be available for the guards working inside. Add +1 or +2 security guards in the room depending on how many monitor you have.

When a security room guards is tired and need to rest he will go into that small staffroom and the extra one will replace him asap. Using this way to fix the problem helped me a lot. Do not set them on patrol in there. It's not a perfect fix, but i can tell you this make a BIG difference for me and my prison work fine.

Do not use "remote door", use the normal jail door, they can be opened by guards and the automated system to be faster if needed for the prisonners.
