[Bug] Stuttering videos

I am running Linux Mint 15 x64. Cinnamon 2.0.6, Nvidia Beta driver 331.17. My computer is a 3570k, 8GB RAM and has a GTX770 videocard with 4GB VRAM. It seems the problem occurs in both the 64 bit version of the game and the 32 bit version.

The problem is that videos switch between being fluid and stuttery every few seconds (on seemingly regular intervals, although I didn't actually measure them). The problem does not occur in 3D sections. It would be nice if people had found a fix for this problem.
