saves disapeared

I haven't played this game for about two months, went to play today and all my saves are gone. Anyone had this before or can tell me where to look.

This is a known issue, apparently linked to Steam cloud syncing; I made a post about it here:

I am bumping this to the top, as it is a critical issue which has been ignored by the developers (along with the myriad of other game breaking bugs players have encountered) and I believe people ought to know about this before spending money on the game.
