Do any choices from the first game pop up in this one?

Annoying to see that the creator opted for the ending in which Redbeard is alive in this game...Now I feel like my 1 hour battle with him was pointless! Anyone know why the creator went that route?

Thanks for letting me know this. I won't be purchasing this game if I can't bring in my choices from the first game. I did the same thing (with roughly the same amount of time spent), and I feel like that's the best possible ending.

If Redbeard wasn't alive, you'd have to write a second version of most of the game's plot; and a replacement Keeper would be less interesting than him, due to not serving as a vehicle for the same level of lore and interactions with other established characters such as Heart Miranda. It's a matter of practicality really.

I know this is an old topic, but I had a suspicion that Red Beard actually changes after he gets killed by more capable Hands, after which they are changed using magic to look like him. But hey, I still didn't finish 2, not to mention Avadon 3 - so I might be wrong :)
