no Map in game?

How are people to know where their going? that interactive guide is in a browser it sounds like not the game, so how would people not just end up wandering around lost?

Is that how the strat guide works? When you open the steam overlay is there a link right there to the guide? I have older games with these prima guides from steam and many games I just click the link that says guide and it pops right open, Im wondering if this game works the same way that the guide is linked in the steam overlay?

Does it MATTER if there is a link right there? You can still use the steam overlay to view it regardless... (well unless the overlay decides to ♥♥♥♥ itself and die anyway).

I'm disappointed by lack of an in-game map as well. I got the pre-order map and it seems fairly useless. I'm not going to play the game with the map open following along with what's on the map (that would take the fun out of the game). But when I got frustrated looking for one item that I was missing, the map was no help at all because it seems to number the items differently from how they are labeled in game.

For example, I was looking for "Old Heirloom 9" in-game. On the strategy map the item is labeled as "The Heirloom Fragment 9" but I already got that one. The numbers don't seem to match up and I don't know which one I'm missing. What's the point of even having the map if it isn't labeled properly?

No, that is not how it works ... the map is not part of the game, and thus cannot link to it. You can open your Steam Overlay and type in that map's address ... login there, and check the map ... and then, try to mentally link the map to the game.

They held back on an in-game map so they could offer an interactive map as a pre-order incentive, pretty obvious when you think about it.

I believe the map will be coming to steam as DLC, perhaps other hud elements will also be DLC rumors say online which is good.
